Trip to Japan pt.2

It is Japanese tradition to send a gift for parents with your first pay cheque from your first job you have after graduating college. Since I was in Canada from age 14, I had not much time to stay with my parents. Once my mom told me that she wanted to go shopping together, attend cooking class together and travel together as typical mother and daughter do. I felt sorry to my mom when she told me, so I decided to bring my mom to Hokkaido Trip (Northan island in Japan) as the gift!! I wish my dad could join us but he is busy with his work so I got him his favourite Burberry Scarf.

Hokkaido is famous for Beer and fresh seafood!! The world famous "Sapporo Beer" is from Hokkaido too. Enjoy my foodie trip picture diary =) 

日本で初給料で両親にプレゼントを送るといいますが、まだその習慣はあるのか気になるところですが。私は日本人らしいことをするのが案外すきなので、帰国するついでにその夢も果たしてきました♡数年前、母が「普通の母と娘みたいにショッピングに行ったり、旅行に行ったりしたかった」と行っていたので、北海道旅行に行くことにしました。父は仕事で多忙なため、大好きなバーバリーで我慢してもらいました♪　

I went to Sapporo Beer Factory to (obviously) taste the fresh beer! This is the picture of Sapporo Beer Bus! I wish Canada Line and Skytrain have this Beer mug straphanger♡

サッポロ工場見学に行きました♪　可愛いビールのつり革がすごく気に入り、バンクーバーにもあったらいいのに♡と思いました！

My mom and I joined the factory tour… learned a lot about Sapporo beer. Well…ironically my name (Real name) is Asahi which is an enemy beer company of Sapporo! and the tour guide was joking a lot about it =)

母とサッポロ工場のツアーに参加しました。案外楽しくて、熱心に話をきいてしまいました♪　私の名前（本名）がアサヒなので、皮肉ね〜と二人でジョークを言っていました♡

After the factory tour, we got to try two kinds of Sapporo Beer: "Sapporo Classic" and "Sapporo limited". Sapporo classic is the taste of the Classic Original Recipe from 1876. Sapporo limited is the same recipe as the regular Sapporo but all of the ingredients are from Hokkaido island.  The Sapporo Beer Cracker was awesome too♡

工場ツアーの後に２種類の北海道限定サッポロビールのテイスティングをしました♪　母と私はこの時を待っていた！何より、一緒にいただいたチーズとサッポロビールクラッカーが美味しくて、美味しくて♡

For dinner, we went to Hokkaido Seafood Izakaya in the central. We tried so many different kinds of rare seafood from Hokkaido.

I had Frozen Beer (Beer with Frozen bubble) and Sake from Hokkaido. My mom enjoyed citrus sake!

私はフローズンビアーと北海道の酒蔵でできた日本酒をいただきました。母は、ビールとゆずのお酒を楽しみました♪　

Squid and Clam Sashimi! Clam sashimi (forgot the name lol) was great!

イカと何かの貝のお刺身。貝の名前、忘れちゃいました♪

Squid Ruibe (with guts) was perfect with cold Sake!

My mom enjoyed "Seafood Jewelry box" with all the fresh seafood including: Ikura, Katsuo, Maguro, Saba, etc… oh… unforgettable taste.

 母の頼んだ海鮮の宝石箱のようなミニ丼の味は、一生忘れないでしょう♡

父が、「北海道に行ったら、本物のししゃもを食べてきなさい」と私たちにずっと言っていたので、その『本物の』ししゃもさんを食べてみました。色：灰色ではなく、白っぽい。サイズ：ひとまわり大きい、味：ふたまわり美味しい♡

Shishamo fish from Hokkaido was big, rich and milky. By looking at these pictures, I really wanna go back to Hokkaido RIGHT NOW…

Oh…Now it's time to book a flight to 

HOKKAIDO!!
