Happy Thanksgiving =)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone♡Canadian Thanksgiving day was yesterday and I had a long weekend so I enjoyed cooking a turkey dish and relaxed at home. I did cook turkey but not the "Turkey" people imagine! I cooked a piece of turkey breast from urban fare for my lonely dinner =( My brother caught a cold so he couldn't join me this year… hopefully I can cook a whole turkey for my family one day =)

ハッピー•サンクスギビング♥　カナダでは、昨日がサンクスギビングディでした。３連休だったので、ターキーのお夕食を作ったりして、ゆっくり過ごしました♪　ターキーといっても一羽は大きすぎるので、ひとり用の胸肉をurban fareで購入。兄が風邪を引いてしまい、参加できなかったので今年は寂しく一人で食べました。いつか１羽を家族のために調理してみたいですね♪

On sunday, I was hanging out with Mark again and we went to cookworks to look for a mini dutch oven. Mark and I have been interested in this dutch oven brand called "Staub"and I decided to purchase this black oval mini staub for my Thanksgiving meal♡ I can serve gratin, soup, baked desserts and anything hot/ warm! =)

日曜日に、上の写真にも写っているミニ•ダッチオーブンをさがしにcookworksへ行きました。マークもこのStaubというブランドに興味があるということで、２人でいってみることに。本当に可愛くて色と形で悩みましたが、黒のオーバル型に決めました♪　グラタン、スープ、デザートに、これからの盛りつけがもっと楽しくなります！

This is their collection of mini staubs!! Too cute and adorable mini dutch oven… took so long to pick a colour and a shape... I am a Le Creuset lover♡ but I'm kinda cheating with Staub these days =P Staub is heavier and stronger compare to Le Creuset. According to a Japanese chef's blog, the Staub's lid is heavier so more pressure inside the pod and prevent pot from leaking out the steam.

色も鮮やかですよね♪ StaubもLeCreusetもフランス生まれですが、また違った味があります。私は、LeCreusetが大好きですが、最近ちょこっとStaubに浮気していますw　Staubは、どこか男らしさがあり、盛りつけた時にすごくかっこよく仕上がります。LeCreusetに比べて重く、フタも重いため蒸気を逃がさないようです！

Surprise!! Mark got me a Le Creuset Cocotte Japonaise as my birthday gift!! My birthday is on August 9th but some how he gets me my gift in the Fall season lol I'm kinda picky girl so he is having hard time picking my birthday gift every year! But I always Love his gift because it is very thoughtful♪ I'm really happy that I have a best friend who can understand and accept my picky-ness =) 

サプラーイズ！マークが、遅れながらお誕生日プレゼントにLeCreusetのココット•ジャポネーゼをプレゼントしてくれました♪　私のお誕生日は８月９日なのですが、マークは毎年秋頃にプレゼントをくれます。彼いわく、私は異常なこだわりを持っているため、誕生日プレゼントを探すのに秋までかかるとのことです。申し訳ないw　私のこだわりを理解して、悩んでくれる親友を持って、幸せです♪
