Mother's day

Took a while to post my mother's day meal to show my LOVE to my MOM... I made a heart egg toast with avocado and mini sausages =) This year, I was too busy to make a big meal and also could not send a gift to Japan since this is my first year working full time... but hopefully next year!  I left Japan to study English 10 years ago, and I'm already mid twenty and still here in Vancouver. However, I wasn't lonely at all because I could feel the pure love from my mom all the time even we live apart.  

Mothers hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever!! =)

Vacation

I haven't updated my blog for so long... I was busy with my work, and also I had a vacation to Cancun, Mexico. The trip was amazing and it was a great experience to see a different side of the world! It wasn't just a vacation, but also a field trip for learning new cooking ways and research about different kind of cultural food =) Here is a picture diary of my trip!! I took too many pictures so I'll separate it into two different post. Enjoy =)

There are many different kind of veggie, meat,  and fish, so I had so much fun trying these new type of food with new cooking method. Also, it was first time experiencing a Mayan culture and their food is inspired me a lot.

Cute Sushi

Every year on March 1st which is a girl's day in Japan, I make a cute sushi and celebrate it. I made a bear sushi this year, and I believe I am getting so much better with this sushi roll techniques =) 

This is the only ingredients I need to make a roll.

Last year, I made my favorite Hallo Kitty sushi! 

First cute sushi I've ever made was the Anpan man sushi... 

I wasn't good at making these sushi back in the time =(

I want to make some more sushi with cute characters soon!! and will show you my steps to make it.
